In Bukovina, a 28-year-old man was sentenced to 9 years in prison for drug trafficking and for establishing a drug den in a rented apartment. The Bukovinian stored and sold drugs in particularly large quantities. During searches, law enforcement discovered several kilograms of various psychotropic substances in his possession.
The case of the 28-year-old resident of Chernivtsi was heard in the Shevchenkivskyi District Court. During the investigation, law enforcement established that the man was selling psychotropic substances through so-called "drops." He accepted orders for drugs via a specially created channel on Telegram. After receiving the corresponding payment receipt, he sent clients photos of the hiding spots and coordinates through the messenger. In court, prosecutors proved that the Bukovinian not only established drug distribution channels but also set up a drug den in the apartment he rented.
“During searches of the apartment where the convicted individual lived, drugs were discovered. Additionally, police found in a specially arranged hideout in the woods nearly 200 zip bags of amphetamine, one kilogram of cannabis, over 150 MDMA pills, more than 60 LSD stamps, nearly 180 bromafetamines, and 250 zip bags containing the psychotropic substance PVP,” – reported the Bukovina Prosecutor's Office on Tuesday, November 12.
The Shevchenkivskyi District Court found the 28-year-old Chernivtsi resident guilty of illegal acquisition, storage with intent to sell, and distribution of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances in particularly large quantities, as well as maintaining places for the illegal use of banned substances. He was sentenced to 9 years in prison with confiscation of property. An appeal can be filed against the court's verdict.
