At the "Dyakivtsi" border crossing with Romania, customs officers discovered a batch of branded goods valued at 1.7 million UAH in a minibus. The items were being secretly transported by a pensioner and his daughter-in-law. This was reported by the Chernivtsi border guard unit on December 31.
“Yesterday, a Ukrainian citizen was returning home from Romania with his daughter-in-law in their own minibus. They chose the 'green corridor' for crossing the border, claiming they had nothing to declare. During the inspection of the vehicle, border guards, together with customs officers, found over a thousand cosmetic products, branded bags, and clothing in the trunk,” the report states.
Customs officials seized goods worth over 1.7 million UAH and also drew up a relevant protocol against the offenders.
