The Khmelnytskyi City District Court has issued a verdict against the chief accountant of the out-of-town children's health and recreation facility "Chaika," Olha Busanovska, for improper performance of her official duties. According to the investigation, the woman was responsible for purchasing a generator but failed to verify its market value and chose an economically disadvantageous company as the auction winner. As a result, this agreement led to losses exceeding 400,000 UAH. For this, the accused was sentenced to one year of probation.
As stated in the verdict dated November 7, in the fall of 2022, the administration of the "Chaika" camp announced a tender for the state procurement of a generator. Following the electronic auction, Olha Busanovska selected the winning firm that offered to sell the generator for 1,250,000 UAH. However, the actual cost based on average market prices was 839,995 UAH. Consequently, the concluded agreement caused losses of 410,000 UAH to the Khmelnytskyi City Council.
Olha Busanovska admitted her guilt and entered into an agreement with the prosecutor.
Judge Rostyslav Lun found the accountant guilty under part 2 of Article 367 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (improper performance of official duties by an official leading to severe consequences), but exempted her from the main punishment and imposed a one-year conditional sentence. The decision can still be appealed in the appellate court.
Additionally, it should be noted that the out-of-town children's health and recreation facility "Chaika" is located in the village of Holovchyntsi in the Khmelnytskyi district. According to the analytical online system YouControl, the authorized person for the camp is Alona Nikolova.
