The United Kingdom, along with other NATO member countries, will send 30,000 FPV drones to Ukraine following contracts worth £45 million established by the international Drone Capability Coalition.

This information was reported by the press service of the UK Ministry of Defence.

It was noted that the new assistance to Ukraine was announced by UK Defence Minister Jon Healey together with Latvian Defence Minister Andris Spruds during a meeting of the defense contact group, which took place on Thursday, January 9, at the Ramstein Air Base in Germany.

According to the announcement, the 30,000 drones will be sent to Ukraine after the international "Drone Coalition," led by the UK and Latvia, finalizes contracts totaling £45 million (approximately $55.3 million).

The transfer of the new 30,000 FPV drones to Ukraine will be made possible through funding from the United Kingdom, Denmark, the Netherlands, Latvia, and Sweden.

The UK government states that these state-of-the-art FPV drones will assist Ukraine in combating Russian aggression, enabling the Armed Forces of Ukraine to maneuver past Russian air defenses to attack enemy positions and armored vehicles.
