The UK has announced a £4.5 million – over €5 million – aid package for Ukraine aimed at seeking justice for war crimes committed during Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
This was reported by the press service of the British government.
The funding is designated to support the documentation, investigation, and prosecution of war crimes in Ukraine and complements the UK's collaboration with partners in the US and EU through the Advisory Group on Serious Crimes.
The government noted that throughout 2024, the UK continued to strengthen its global leadership regarding Ukraine, pledging and providing military, economic, and humanitarian support amounting to billions of pounds. “Throughout 2024, the fierce courage of the Ukrainian people continued to inspire the world. At the beginning of 2025, the UK is steadfastly committed to enhancing support for Ukraine,” stated Defense Minister John Healey.
