The Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA) has identified assets belonging to former officials of the Ministry of Energy, who caused damage to the state budget amounting to 1.5 billion UAH.
ARMA's head, Olena Duma, reported this information.
The details regarding the discovered assets have already been forwarded to the State Bureau of Investigations for further action.
According to the investigation, former officials of the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine intentionally obstructed the implementation of a government resolution concerning the use of gas distribution systems. This led to a failure to pay for the use of state property, resulting in a budget shortfall of 1.49 billion UAH from May 2017 to December 2020.
“ARMA has already identified the initial assets of the suspects, including residential and non-residential properties, land plots, and vehicles. Additionally, we are in the process of obtaining information from banks regarding the presence of accounts held by the individuals involved,” said Duma.
