Former captain and coach of the Ukrainian national team Andriy Shevchenko has been inducted into the Italian Football Hall of Fame.

Recently, a ceremony took place where the legend of Ukrainian and world football was presented with an award and a new status.

Shevchenko was honored in the "Foreign Player" category.

It is worth noting that Andriy Mykolaiovych moved to the Italian football club AC Milan from Kyiv's Dynamo at the end of the 1990s.

During his time in Italy, Shevchenko won the local championship and the Champions League, and he was also the top scorer, winning the prestigious individual award, the Ballon d'Or, in 2004.

Alongside Shevchenko, this year, Daniele De Rossi (former Italian footballer) and Luciano Spalletti (coach of the Italian national team) were also inducted into the Hall of Fame.
