According to him, the Azerbaijani civilian aircraft was actually damaged externally near Grozny, was attacked from the ground, and lost control due to the use of electronic warfare, and Russia bears full responsibility for this.
“One of the disappointing and surprising moments was that Russian official structures put forward versions about an explosion of some gas cylinder. This clearly showed that the Russian side wants to cover up the issue. Aliyev also pointed out that, although the downing of the plane was likely not intentional, Russia must acknowledge its guilt and apologize to Azerbaijan,” says Alexander Musienko.
According to the expert, such a statement from Aliyev is indeed surprising because it was expected that the response would be softer, more official, and smoothed out, without calling things by their names, without mentions of Russia and its direct guilt. However, we see that Azerbaijan is urging the Kremlin not to spread its fakes about the disaster.
“Well, Aliyev and Azerbaijani politics have become bolder if they are making such statements. And this is a good sign. Perhaps, finally, these countries are beginning to understand that they need to unite against Russia, that the Kremlin and Putin are evil, which spreads not only against Ukraine, Europe, and the West, but also against the countries of the Caucasus, Central Asia, and Kazakhstan in particular. Today's Russian politics kills, and the situation with the Azerbaijani airplane has once again clearly and purposefully demonstrated this,” emphasizes Alexander Musienko.
