Адвокат владельца казино PIN-UP просит освободить Зотька из-под стражи.

The lawyer for Pin-Up casino owner Ihor Zotyka is requesting to transfer the case from the Pechersk District Court of Kyiv to the Shevchenkivskyi District Court. The defense argues that the investigative actions took place territorially in the Shevchenkivskyi district.

This was reported by the defense to a UA.NEWS correspondent in the courtroom.

The prosecutor opposed this, stating that the State Bureau of Investigations is registered in Pechersk as an entity for pre-trial investigation. To address this issue, the court has gone to the deliberation room.

The lawyer will also ask the court not to keep the suspect in custody.

In response to a UA.NEWS correspondent's question about whether Zotyka admits his guilt, the lawyer stated that the suspect does not consider himself guilty.

Recall that the case of Ihor Zotyka, the nominal owner of Pin-Up casino, is currently being heard in the Pechersk District Court of Kyiv. According to the prosecutor, the detainee will face charges under Article 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – aiding a state aggressor, specifically financing a state aggressor. The penalty under this article provides for imprisonment for a term of 10 to 12 years, with a prohibition on holding certain positions or engaging in certain activities for a period of 10 to 15 years, and with confiscation of property or without it.

Background. Earlier, Mind reported that on January 9, law enforcement detained the nominal owner of the company operating in Ukraine under the brand of the online casino PIN-UP. It is suspected that the actual owners of this business are citizens of Russia.
