A 34-year-old Audi driver died in a car accident in Volyn, while three others sustained injuries.

On the evening of Thursday, January 30, a fatal traffic accident occurred in the Lutsk district of the Volyn region. A 34-year-old Audi driver lost his life in the crash, while three others were hospitalized with injuries.

As reported by the Volyn police, the accident took place on January 30 at around 21:00 in the village of Skobelka in the Lutsk district. The 34-year-old Audi driver failed to yield to an oncoming Škoda vehicle while making a left turn, resulting in a collision.

The Audi driver died at the scene of the accident, while a 36-year-old female passenger from the same vehicle was injured and taken to the hospital. The Škoda was driven by a 26-year-old resident of the village of Maryanivka, and he along with a 25-year-old passenger were also injured and hospitalized.

Investigators from the Main Department of the National Police in the Volyn region were on-site, and a criminal proceeding has been initiated under part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. This pertains to violations of road safety regulations that resulted in death. The investigation is ongoing.
