In the Lviv region, there are no registered religious communities of the UOC-MP left. Out of the 54 communities that existed before the full-scale invasion, 27 joined the OCU, while the other 27 ceased their activities independently.

The Lviv region has become the first in Ukraine to have no registered religious communities of the ROC in Ukraine! Before Russia's aggression against Ukraine in 2014, there were 66 religious communities of the Moscow Patriarchate in our region. As of February 24, 2022, there were 54 of these communities.
During the full-scale invasion, 27 communities joined the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, while another 27 ceased their activities on their own initiative.
