US President Donald Trump announced intentions to establish a government cryptocurrency reserve in the United States.

He wrote about this on the social media platform Truth Social.

“The US cryptocurrency reserve will elevate this crucial sector to a new level after many years of corrupt attacks from the Biden administration. That’s why my executive order on digital assets tasked the presidential working group with creating a strategic cryptocurrency reserve,” the head of the White House stated.

Trump named three cryptocurrencies that will be part of the United States' crypto reserve. This list includes XRP, Solana (SOL), and Cardano (ADA).

“I will ensure that the US becomes the global capital of cryptocurrency. We are making America great again,” he added.

Following the announcement, the prices of the mentioned cryptocurrencies saw significant increases ranging from 10% to 63%. According to CoinMarketCap, after the US president's statement, the price of Bitcoin reached $93,000.
