The Office of Foreign Assets Control of the U.S. Department of the Treasury has implemented sanctions against two of the largest oil companies in Russia, "Gazprom Neft" and "Surgoilneftgaz," as well as ship insurance providers "Ingosstrakh" and "AlfaStrakhovanie."
According to the U.S. Department of the Treasury,
in total, the new sanctions affect more than 30 Russian oil service companies.
The following companies are included in the list:
"The United States is taking drastic measures against a primary source of revenue for Russia to fund its brutal and illegal war against Ukraine," stated Treasury Secretary Janet L. Yellen.
According to the U.S. Treasury, as a result of today's actions, all property and interests owned by sanctioned individuals located in the United States or owned or controlled by U.S. persons are blocked.
