In Novyi Rozdil, Lviv region, the police apprehended a local resident who brutally killed his acquaintance. According to the police, he murdered his 33-year-old neighbor by severing his head from his body with a knife.
As reported by the National Police of Lviv region, around midnight on December 6, police were informed that a man's body with signs of violent death had been discovered in an apartment in one of the buildings on Bandera Street in Novyi Rozdil.
Investigators found that a sudden conflict arose between the two neighbors, during which the 44-year-old apartment owner used a kitchen knife to sever the head of the 33-year-old man from his body, resulting in his death. The police have arrested the attacker.
Investigators have opened a criminal proceeding under Part 1 of Article 115 (Intentional Murder) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanctions for this article provide for a penalty of imprisonment for a term of seven to fifteen years.
