All children have been evacuated from the cities of Kostiantynivka and Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region. This occurred against the backdrop of ongoing shelling by Russian military forces. This was reported on Wednesday, January 29, by the head of the Donetsk regional military administration, Vadym Filashkin.

According to Vadym Filashkin, Russian forces systematically shell populated areas in the Donetsk region. Just in the past day, the occupiers conducted over three thousand shellings, resulting in one death and four injuries. The victims are residents of Pokrovsk and Kostiantynivka. For this reason, local authorities decided to evacuate all children from the area. The evacuation is being carried out by police units, the State Emergency Service, and the "White Angels" unit.

“As of yesterday, we evacuated all children from Kostiantynivka because the enemy shells the city daily with aerial bombs, ballistic missiles, and FPV drones. The city is being completely destroyed, just like Pokrovsk and all other towns near the front line,” said Vadym Filashkin.

The head of the Donetsk regional military administration also mentioned that the last post office branch of "Ukrposhta" closed in Pokrovsk the day before. Instead, a mobile branch will operate in the city using an armored vehicle. Residents will be informed of its schedule later.

“The situation in Pokrovsk is the most challenging. Almost the entire city center is destroyed, the premises of the 'Ukrposhta' branch are ruined, as are other branches that provided services to people,” Vadym Filashkin stated.

According to Vadym Filashkin, there are currently 7,000 people remaining in Pokrovsk. The head of the regional administration emphasized that they still have the opportunity to evacuate. Authorities, police, the State Emergency Service, and volunteers continue evacuating locals despite the shelling. Mandatory evacuation is currently ongoing in the Komarska and Kryvorizka rural communities.
