On the evening of November 4, a fatal accident occurred on the bypass road in Zolochiv, Lviv region, resulting in the death of a woman. Around 6:30 PM, three vehicles were involved in the crash, with several others damaged that were being transported on a flatbed. The accident completely blocked traffic.
According to the local website Zolochiv.net, one person died and three were injured as a result of the accident. Preliminary reports indicate that six vehicles were damaged. Video footage shows that a truck and several passenger cars were involved in the incident, with one car overturning onto its roof.
Later, the police reported that the collision involved a Hyundai Tucson driven by a 64-year-old resident of Ternopil region and a Mercedes truck driven by a 37-year-old from Rivne region. The truck, moving by inertia, collided with a Mercedes passenger car that was being driven by a 21-year-old resident of Kryvyi Rih. The passenger of the Hyundai, a 59-year-old woman from Kharkiv, succumbed to her injuries at the scene. The drivers were taken to the hospital.
Investigators have initiated criminal proceedings under part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of traffic safety rules or operation of vehicles by individuals in charge of transportation).
