The second batch of F-16 fighter jets from Denmark has already arrived in Ukraine. This was reported by President Volodymyr Zelensky on Telegram on December 7.
The President mentioned that the aircraft transferred by Denmark from the first batch are already intercepting Russian missiles, saving lives and infrastructure. The head of state did not specify the exact date of the new transfer or the number of fighters, but noted that Ukraine's air shield has been further strengthened.
“If all partners were as decisive, we could have already made Russian terror impossible,” – emphasized Volodymyr Zelensky.
Recall that in September, Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen stated that by the end of 2024, Ukraine will receive another batch of F-16 fighter jets from his country. It is known that the first batch of aircraft was delivered in August.
In November, Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen announced that the first batch included six multi-role F-16 fighters for Ukraine. Overall, Denmark plans to supply Ukrainian defenders with 19 aircraft of this type.
