Russians reported explosions near the airfield in Adygea.

In the night of Saturday, December 7, two powerful explosions were heard over the city of Maykop in the Republic of Adygea. The sounds of the blasts were detected near the "Khanskaya" military airfield, which had previously been targeted by drones. This information was reported by Russian Telegram channels Shot and Astra.

According to local residents, at least two powerful explosions were heard over the regional capital near the local airfield during the night. No air raid alerts were announced in the area, despite reports from Shot indicating that air defense was active over the Republic of Adygea.

"Residents of Maykop reported the explosion and are posting footage online, allegedly showing smoke in the Cheremushki neighborhood," stated the message from the Telegram channel Astra.

The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that on the night of December 7, Ukrainian drones attacked the Belgorod, Astrakhan, and Voronezh regions. The ministry claims that two UAVs were shot down over Belgorod, and one each over Astrakhan and Voronezh regions. No information regarding casualties or damage was provided by the ministry. The authorities of the Republic of Adygea have not yet commented on the causes and consequences of the nighttime explosions.
