A suspect in concealing income, an official from the Lviv regional medical commission, has declared a statue of the Virgin Mary.

The Deputy Chief Physician of the Lviv Regional Center for Medical and Social Expertise, Ruslana Ivanochko, who is suspected of false declaration, purchased a stone statue of the Virgin Mary worth over 298,000 UAH in 2024. The first to report this was the website “Glavcom”, citing Ruslana Ivanochko's declaration submitted on January 9, 2025, after her dismissal from office.

Ruslana Ivanochko became the owner of the Virgin Mary sculpture on September 30, 2024. On the website of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, there is a report stating that on the same day, the statue was consecrated on the grounds of the Lviv Regional Center for Medical and Social Expertise by His Beatitude Metropolitan Epiphaniy of Kyiv and All Ukraine.

According to the declaration, the official acquired a non-residential property in Lviv for nearly 15,000 UAH in 2024 and began renting a parking space. However, Ruslana Ivanochko does not own any vehicles. Her husband, Ihor Kravchuk, who is a member of the military medical commission No. 2 at the Lviv Regional Hospital, sold his car for nearly 850,000 UAH. Additionally, in 2024, Ruslana Ivanochko spent 350,000 UAH to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Overall, from January to October 2024, the income of Ruslana Ivanochko and Ihor Kravchuk amounted to 1.8 million UAH. The Ivanochko family holds 1 million UAH in cash, 45,000 dollars, and 52,000 dollars, while they have an additional 176,300 UAH in bank accounts.

Furthermore, the Ivanochko couple also owns three apartments in Lviv, two land plots totaling 0.14 hectares, a parking space, and a garage. In 2023, the doctor became the owner of a house with an area of 149.8 m² in Zymna Voda near Lviv, valued at 3.4 million UAH.

It is worth noting that Ruslana Ivanochko received a suspicions of false declaration at the beginning of November 2024. Additionally, in October, investigators conducted searches at her premises in a case concerning the illegal assignment of disability groups for bribes. The State Bureau of Investigation believes that the doctor failed to mention in her 2023 declaration that she utilizes 2023 BMW X5 and Mercedes-Benz GLE 300D Coupe vehicles. The total value of the vehicles is nearly 6 million UAH. Due to false declaration, Ruslana Ivanochko faces up to two years of imprisonment.
