From January 7 to 14, fuel prices at Ukrainian gas stations increased. On average, depending on the network and type of fuel, prices rose by 0.20-2.50 UAH/l. This was reported by the industry website enkorr, citing data from the consulting group "A-95".
The increase in fuel prices was influenced by the rise in excise duties starting January 1, wholesale prices, and the depreciation of the hryvnia. The excise on diesel fuel saw the most significant increase, prompting gas stations to actively adjust their prices for this type of fuel. Additionally, European quotations for diesel rose more substantially compared to gasoline due to the increase in oil prices.
Specifically, the average retail price of diesel fuel rose by 65 kop./l over the week, reaching 53.77 UAH/l, while the price of A-95 gasoline increased by 21 kop. (to 56.07 UAH/l), and A-95+ by 16 kop. (to 59.26 UAH/l).
Notably, at the gas stations of the VST, "Ukr-Petrol," "Olas," and "Avtotrans" networks, diesel fuel became more expensive by 2-2.30 UAH/l immediately.
In the "Parallel" network, prices for this type of fuel increased by 1-1.50 UAH/l, depending on the region. Additionally, fuel prices rose by 1 UAH and more in the BVS, Marshal, "Quorum," "Factor," "Ukrnafta," Ovis, VostokGaz, ZOG, "Katrall," Sunoil, Green Wave, and RLS networks.
Gasoline saw the highest price increase at the Olas gas station – up by 1.49 UAH, reaching 54.99 UAH/l. The BVS, Marshal, "Avtotrans," RLS, and "Parallel" networks raised their A-95 prices by 1 UAH per liter. In other gas station operators, the price of this type of fuel increased by 40-70 kop. per liter.
The average price of autogas rose by 46 kop. per liter over the week, reaching 36.28 UAH/l. Since the beginning of the year, this type of fuel has increased by 90 kop. per liter. Specifically, at the "Avantage" gas station, autogas prices increased by 1.50 UAH, reaching 34.75 UAH/liter. The price of autogas per liter rose by 1-1.24 UAH in the "Ukrnafta," Shell, "Parallel," Motto, Marshal, BVS, "Avtotrans," Mango, VST, and "Katrall" networks. In other networks, the price increased on average by 10-83 kop./l.
President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a law in September to raise excise duties on fuel starting January 1. Following this, according to Economic Truth, the largest gas station network of the "Privat" group, which includes the brands "Aviass" and ANP, almost ran out of gasoline due to a lack of funds for payments to suppliers.
