Friendly Match
“Karpaty” (Lviv) – “Polissya” (Zhytomyr) – 0:3
Goals: Yosefi, 4, Krushynskyi, 45, Andriievskyi, 61
The first dangerous moment for "Polissya" resulted in a goal—Bruninho lost the ball in the midfield, allowing Yosefi to strike powerfully from outside the penalty area, leaving the goalkeeper with no chance. Midway through the half, the Zhytomyr team nearly doubled their lead: Maisuradze delivered a free kick, and Chobotenko headed the ball against the crossbar.
Subsequently, "Karpaty" seized the initiative and created several opportunities. The most dangerous chance fell to Chachua, who attempted a shot while falling, but Volynets made the save. In the final minute of the half, "Polissya" scored again: Krushynskyi capitalized on a defensive error, took a shot, and the ball ricocheted off Babohlo into the net.
After the break, the Zhytomyr team definitively resolved the question of the winner: Andriievskyi lobbed the ball over the goalkeeper, taking advantage of a mistake by the Lions' keeper. Shakh had a chance to score a consolation goal, but today was the day of Imad Ashur's team.
Their final friendly at the Turkish training camp will take place on Thursday, February 13, against the Kishinev "Zimbru" (Moldova).
