The goalkeeper of "Dynamo" and the Ukrainian national team, Georgiy Bushchan, will continue his career in Saudi Arabia. The 30-year-old goalkeeper became a player of the "Al-Shabab" club on Wednesday, January 29, as reported by the official website of the Kyiv club. The Saudis have already confirmed the transfer by releasing a video featuring the goalkeeper.
The Ukrainian has signed a contract for 2.5 seasons, lasting until June 30, 2027. The value of the deal has not been disclosed; however, according to Transfermarkt, the "white-blues" will receive 3 million euros for their player.
It is worth noting that Bushchan is a product of "Dynamo" (having spent his entire career at the Kyiv club). In the current season, he played 27 matches for the capital team across all competitions, conceding 30 goals (he kept a clean sheet in 9 of those matches). Overall, he has appeared in 181 matches while wearing the "Dynamo" jersey. He has played 18 matches for the Ukrainian national team. Transfermarkt values Georgiy at 7 million euros.
"Al-Shabab" is currently sixth in the Saudi Arabian championship standings after 17 rounds, with 29 points to their name. The team's coach is the legendary Turkish specialist Fatih Terim.
